Kenichi Shirahama, an average 16-year-old high school student who has been picked on his whole life. But However, after a short period of time into his freshman year, he meets a mysterious transfer student called Miu Fūrinji and in a short while befriends her. Driven by his urge to become stronger and to even protect those in need and around him, he follows her to a place called Ryōzanpaku,which turned out to be a dojo for those who are truly strong and have mastered their arts in combat.

After defeating Ragnarok, he faces a new enemy called YOMI, a group of disciples who have been individually trained by a master of an even bigger organization rivaling Ryōzanpaku, Yami. Along with former members of Ragnarok who join the Shinpaku Alliance, a group created by Kenichi’s schoolmate Haruo Niijima, Kenichi now fights Yami to prove his ideals and protect those in need.

Miu Furinji “Miu Furinji” Alternative names – Furinji Miu, 風林寺美羽. Voiced (Japanese) – Kawakami Tomoko. Voiced (English) – Savage Carrie. Age – 16. Affiliation – Ryozanpaku & Shinpaku Alliance. Type – Katsujin Ken & Dou. Martial Arts – Unknown. First Appearance – Battle 1.

Miu Furinji is a 16 year old girl who is a student at the same school as Kenichi Shirahama, she is currently in her second year. She is the granddaughter of Hayato Furinji who is the elder and leader of the Ryozanpaku Dojo. It is unknown the exact age when Miu was taken under care of Hayato but she has been with him since she was at least 6 years old. It was in her younger years when Miu took an interest in martial arts and learned it from her grandfather to accompany him on his missions to bring about peace.

Throughout the series Miu has constantly proven herself to be a lethal opponent due to her immense fighting ability and style. Having received training from Hayato Furinji from a young age and facing much danger along the way she developed reflexes to the point where it would be impossible to sneak up on her. In the series her fighting style was not revealed but she is seen to make use of her powerful kicks and a great use of her acrobatics. While her exact level of skill is unknown she is currently the sparring partner of Kenichi Shirahama though Kenichi has not been able to hit her once throughout the series, despite his vow to never hit women.
